The Unley electorate is situated south of the Adelaide CBD and parklands and is a largely residential area of approx. 12.2 km2. (the smallest seat geographically due to little open space and higher density of housing). Unley also has some of Adelaide’s grand old stone homes on large blocks. Protecting this element of it's character is a hotly debated topic. Strip shopping still exists on all main roads, and each road has an active traders association.
The Unley electorate is bounded by Cross Rd to the south, Greenhill Rd to the north, Goodwood Rd to the west and Portrush Road to the east. It abuts the electorates of Adelaide to the north, Waite to the south, Bragg to the East and Ashford to the West.
