The City of Unley Council recently started a 12 month trial paid parking in streets near tram stations in Wayville and Goodwood.
This trial includes parking ticket machines on the south-eastern side of Bartley Crescent, Wayville and on the northern side of Railway Terrace South, Goodwood, between Goodwood Road and Musgrave Street, with tickets required from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
It also includes time restricted parking of 4 hours between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, in streets surrounding the tramline. These streets include but are not limited to Albert Street, Ada Street, Parsons Street, Leader Street and Victoria Street. For details about all the streets included in the time restricted parking zone, please see the plan on the City of Unley Council's website - www.unley.sa.gov.au/CityOfUnley/media/CoU-Media-Library/Parking%20and%20Transport/Pay-for-Use-Parking-plan.pdf.
If you are a resident of one of these streets and you need more information about the trial, including whether you require a residential parking permit to park in front of your property, I strongly suggest you contact the council on 8372 5111 or go to their website - www.unley.sa.gov.au/parking-transport/parking. You can also access the Trial Parking Permit Application Form from their website - www.unley.sa.gov.au/CityOfUnley/media/CoU-Media-Library/Parking%20and%20Transport/Pay-for-Use-Parking-Trial-Application-Form.pdf.
If you are experiencing difficulty in dealing with council on this issue or would like to share your thoughts on the trial, please feel free to contact my office on 8373 4846 or via email email@example.com.
